Join us on Wednesday nights for food, fun & fellowship! 

The First Baptist Church of Greater Des Moines, 8250 NW 62nd Avenue, in Johnston,  offers a robust Wednesday Night Activities program mid-September through the end of May, providing participants an informal opportunities to connect with the Church, fellowship with others, and to grow spiritually through Christian Education activities for children and adults. 

 

The Church, in the heart of the Green Meadows West neighborhood, wiill provide a free-will offering dinner  each week at  6 pm, followed by activities from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.  Childcare  for infants and toddlers will be available. In addition, walk-ons are welcome at the 7:30 pm choir practice.

 

Here’s what you need know to be a part of our fun Wednesday nights:

 

Dinner

The free-will offering dinner  will be served at 6:00 pm. Reservations are due by noon on Mondays and may be made by signing up at the Church, or calling the Church Office (515) 243-8161, or sending an email to office@fbcdsm.org

 

Childcare 

Trained attendants will be available to provide care for infants and pre-kindergarten children.

 

Children Activities (kindergarten through fifth grade) Several experienced leaders and  teachers motivate and encourage children to learn about Jesus.

Youth Group (sixth grade through 12th gradeUnder the leadership of Tait Michener, Director of Youth Ministries, students will provided hands-on learning experiences to strengthen their relationship with Jesus.

Adult Class

Interim Pastors Jim and Deb Harkness will lead a Bible study class and will facilitate exploration and discussion of topics identified by class participants. 

 

Choir Practice

Under the direction of Colby Gochanour, the adult choir practices at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Walk-ons are welcome.
