What to Expect
Prior to worship, all members and guests are invited to gather for Coffee Fellowship time.
Our worship includes personally relevant and inspiring Bible-based sermons, traditional hymns and sacred music, and fellowship. The pew Bibles are the New Living Translation. Scriptures and song verses are displayed on large video screens at the front and back of the sanctuary. Our worship is periodically enhanced by adult and children choirs and instrumental ensembles.
The dress for worship is generally "casual," although all are welcome regardless of their attire. Our greeters and ushers are available to provide direction, and are happy answer questions and assist our guests.
Assistive listening devices are available for those with hearing impairments. Accommodations are accessible for persons who use wheelchairs. Large print editions of the Bible are available upon request. Members and guests are welcome to use their smart phones or tablets as their Bible and may access our free guest wi-fi internet service.
The Church is sensitive to concerns about COVID-19 and respects an individual’s choice to wear a mask or to request social distancing when participating in activities in the building. Masks, hand sanitizer, and tissues are available in the narthex.

Community Outreach
First Baptist has a 170-year history of helping to meet the needs of the local community on an on-going basis and for special needs. First, and foremost, the Church regularly prays for the welfare of individuals and the community. The Church takes on community service projects, provides financial and in-kind support to individuals and organizations, and offers the building as a place for local groups to meet. We are determined to serve others. We share the good news of God’s unconditional love for the metro area, the state, the nation and the world.
