Our students get involved in a wide variety of Missions projects in our community, nation and world.
Last year our youth group raise the funds to pay for 4628 meals and packaged 3240 of them at our Meals for the Heartland packaging night! 1 in 5 Iowa children are hungry and there are 700 Million undernourished people on the planet, so we still have work to do! We also hosted an intergenerational shoe-cutting party for Sole Hope. We cut out the uppers to 60 pairs of shoes that will help alleviate suffering from jiggers in Uganda.
This spring, we are raising support for a summer trip to help with rebuilding in Puerto Rico, and registration is still open for an Urban Plunge weekend in Kansas City, August 3rd-5th.
Over the past several years, our students have participated on Missions trips to Nicaragua, Mexico, Washington, D.C., Camp Verde, Arizona, Columbus, Ohio, and Belize!
