What to Expect
First Baptist Church is a congregation that celebrates Christ through the Fine Arts. Using traditional music, our worship services are characterized by traditional hymns and sacred music performed by the Chancel Choir. Our worship is periodically enhanced by instrumental ensembles, an adult hand bell choir and the children's choir.
The dress for worship at First Baptist Church is generally "business casual," although all are welcome regardless of their attire. Our greeters and ushers are available to provide direction, and are happy answer questions and assist our guests. Prior to worship, all members and guests are invited to gather in the Narthex for our Coffee Fellowship time.
Elementary age children are invited to join their families for worship at 10:00 am. Following the Children's Sermon, children are then dismissed to Children's Worship. Busy Bags and tablets are provided at the Information Center for children wishing to remain with their families during the duration of worship.
Children & Youth
There are several activities for offered for our youngest members, which conveniently coincide with adult ministries and programs:
- Childcare is available for children ages 0-2 years
- Children's Worship is available for children ages 3-5 years, and grades 1-5
- Youth Group is available for students grades 6-12 on Wednesday's at 6:30 pm
Childcare workers and adult volunteers are trained and criminal background checks are conducted as a part of their screening.

If inclement weather determines that Sunday or Wednesday activities should be cancelled, the Church will notify the local television stations with that announcement. The Church will also issue an email or a text message to those who have signed up for those services. If you have not signed up for either of these services please contact the Church Office. As always, we encourage you to use discretion as to whether or not you participate in Church activities due to weather!
