Come and worship with us on the First Sunday of Advent, November 27!

Here’s what you can expect:

SERMON: THEREFORE KEEP WATCH
At 10 a.m. Sunday, Interim Pastor Jim Harkness will present the sermon, “Therefore Keep Watch,” based on Matthew 24:36-44. If you cannot make it to church, then you can watch this sermon via live-stream on this website.. 


FELLOWSHIP & ADULT BIBLE STUDIES
Other activities and services on Sunday morning include coffee/tea/juice fellowship from 9:45 to 10:00 am and from 11:00 to 11:15 am, and adult Bible studies at 9:00 am and 11:15 am.  


CHILDREN’S CHURCH & CHILDCARE
Childcare for infants and pre-K toddlers is available on Sunday from 9 am to noon. Children’s Church, a Christian education program for youth,  is held in a classroom from 10:15 to 11 am.

PIZZA &  ACTIVITIES AT 6 PM WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30

Join us for pizza, salad and dessert at 6 pm Wednesday (November 30) and then stay for activities for youth and adults. Call the Church, (515) 243-8161, to make a dinner reservation (free-will offering). Childcare is available.

The First Baptist Church of Greater Des Moines was founded In 1851 in downtown Des Moines. The 250-member congregation built a new church in Johnston in 2002.
